DIRECTROCK DEMO
Somewhere between 2003 and 2004, a short demo tape was recorded that included 7 tracks; One of which was a 5-second clip that introduced the band. The songs likely were the first body of music the band recorded, as they came together in January of 2003 and this demo was likely recorded not too long after, as Trevor Jackson was still in the band as the original Lead Guitarist role, (who was soon replaced by Nelson Fisher). The CD also included 2 songs that were actually early renditions of tracks that were released on ‘8th Grade Teacher’ in 2005; that being, ‘Your Freedom’ and ‘Boyfriend’ (Can I Say). Both songs included differing lyrics and song structure from what can be heard on the officially released versions. Lastly, the song ‘Our Song’ was featured on the 2007 release of ‘Hawaiian Punk v1: Punk Rock From The Islands Of Hawaii’ under Hawaiian Express.
